Ice Hockey
The Summit offers many opportunities for the hockey enthusiast. The S.S.H.L. caters to every category and age of adult hockey players. The Summit will be offering a season that includes playoffs, all referees, and jerseys. USA hockey fees will now be paid separate online before the season starts. Go to usahockey.com to register and bring in your USA hockey registration with your S.S.H.L. registration.
18+ Division:
This 16 game (plus playoff) season will allow the 18 and over player the benefit of playing a full hockey season, but also give the benefit of having holiday and college breaks without games scheduled. This season will begin on October 6, 2009 and end on April 8, 2010. Games will be played Monday through Wednesday nights. The first game will start as early as 10:00 p.m. (Team registrations are accepted in the 18+ Novice/Inter/Advanced divisions only).
Registration Deadline: Registration is open to all 18+ players from now until October 1, 2009 at 6:00 p.m.. All players must furnish proof of age at time of registration and make the initial payment in order to participate.
30+, 40+, 50+ Divisions:
This 27 game (plus playoff) season will allow the diehard hockey player to play in a competitive league with players in their age division, with balanced teams and with the excitement of a mid-season All Star Game. This league is played on Sunday's only and will begin on September 7, 2009 and end on May 3, 2010. Games will start at 5:00 p.m. with the last game ending at 11:00 p.m. Morning games will be played between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. if needed as overflow games.
Registration Deadlines: All players must register by 9:00 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2009. Registration is on a first come first serve basis.
